close to doing something in north korea that no other president has been able to do. there are many in the mainstream media who are rooting for him to fail. hate is their daily fare. they hate him so much, they want him to fail. peace be damned. if he doesn't get credit for being one of the smartest, most of clever and successful negotiator presidents of all time, then we'll know for sure what it's about and who they are. they are not just haters, and this is about more than just politics. they are rooting for america's failure, and that is you be american. take a look at how they reacted a few weeks ago when the president sent a letter to the north korean leader canceling the summit.

he blind sides his allies, he doesn't consult with congress. as far as we know he didn't consult with his own national security council. he dictates this bizarre embarrassing letter. >> it was always hard to believe donald trump would be the first american president ever to meet a dictator of north korea. the effort to bring that about has been disorganized and nons sensical from the start. >> the impossible dream turned out to be an impossible dream. president trump canceled the summit according to nbc news he was afraid they were going to cancel and he wanted to beat them to it. judge jeanine: we get three american hostages back, the president hasn't lifted any sanctions, and is prepared time pose new debilitating economic sanctions pending the outcome of

americaner. they have been taking it in the feet for decades. we are in this position becse of bureaucrats and beltway politicians. judge jeanine: it reminds me of the nato issue when right to their faces he says you guys aren't paying their fair share. it's that kind of tough love, you might call it, that gets them to pay up a bit. but hogan, i want to talk about north korea and i want to talk about my open. am i wrong? are there people on the left actually cheering for the president and rooting for him to fail? >> you tapped into something here, judge. so many people on the left hate this president more than they love this country. the things they have been cry being for decade, this president comes in and has had record-setting accomplishments in record-setting time fixing the things they have been promoting, and now they don't want it to be fixed.

instead they would rather attack this president. him fixing things that have made this country back in the positive in the red on the economy. respect and loved on the international stage. we weren't like that under barack obama. judge jeanine: we didn't do that under barack obama in was no employment. everybody was fighting with everybody else in terms of the issues going on back then. but pen more than that, they are not worried about being hypocrites. they are don't even care about being un-american. >> they are so blind by their hatred for donald trump personally. it doesn't matter that he's rising -- 80% of the people, middle class getting tax cuts and him calling it crumbs. they are running on a platform of taking the tax cuts away. they are literally apologizing for ms-13 gang members.

>> he's not only going to meet the dictator, but he's meeting him on his terms, in a place of the president's choosing, after the harshest sanctions ever. one that began to strangle the economic underpinnings of the regime. after 67 years, the president is saying we are not going to put up with the status quo. you either make a deal or we'll strangle you. that's a deal this dictator has to take. judge jeanine: why couldn't other presidents have said that? what was so difficult with it? >> one of the challenges other presidents faced that president trump doesn't. they want to be seen in history somehow as not making mistakes. president trump is more than willing to break a few eggs to make an omelette. he was willing to demand if they strangle the economy of north korea.

not give them subsidies like president clinton did. it on takes common sense. the president has a great deal of common sense to know everything we tried for 67 years hasn't worked, so let's try what we haven't tried. judge jeanine: he's a man who honestly has no fear. let's talk about this -- the report that's coming out from the inspector general this week. indications are that comey is going to be called insubordinate. big deal, that means nothing in terms of i think some of the wrongs that are clear to anyone with an understanding of the law. what say you? >> it's going to in my opinion justify and then some the firing of this person who made decisions he could do we wanted to do and not just in the case of the actions with this president, but even beforehand. time and time again. comey from day one assumed he

could do whatever he wanted. you might remember he subpoenaed -- tried to force apple to give up their source code and write a program so they could spy on america and he claimed under oath before a committee there was no way to work around it. a matter of week later for a few hundred dollars a professor said here is how you work around it. jeab * the whole idea of i had to re. judge jeanine: the whole idea of i had to open the hillary case because it was the right thing to do. baloney. the l.a.p.d. and field office of the fbi was going to out him. anthony weiner had classified emails on his computer. >> this is an example where somebody gets to the top and they decide they don't have to play by the rules that were written for others. you saw it under comey. it went down to a whole host of

other people in the department of justice and obviously at the fbi. this is what the president is facing. object one hand he has this accuser if you will with a false assumption to begin with. on the other hand he has a justice department that need reform. it needed to go the exact opposite way it went under both eric holder and loretta lynch. judge jeanine: it doesn't need reform, congressman. it need people who will enforce the law. you have got mccabe saying i am not going to testify before senate jew dish air yea unless you give me immunity. it's use immunity because he doesn't want to be indicted. let's assume mccabe is going after trump. what are you going to give me? when i was the dment a., if you get immunity, give me something. what if he has something against obama who was in the department

of justice to go after it? >> this is the problem we have. you need a proffer. lois lerner said she wanted immunity, but all she could tell us is she is innocent. in order to give you meanity they have to go to the department of justice and tell them way it's all about. judge jeanine: if he does get the immunity and the proffer up reply case someone above him, who is going to prosecute the case? you have rod rosenstein who i am concerned, he should not have that job. this is messed up. >> the american people
